Frame: 53 1/2 x 65 1/2 inches.
Canvas is not lined and somewhat loose on the stretcher; moderate deposits of surface dirt and dust; localized craquelures scattered through the upper center and one area in the elephant’s center; painting surface exhibits a whitish, abraded appearance in areas throughout, primarily in the upper right and left corners; white lines that may be scratches to the paint surface are visible scattered throughout; pinpoint paint losses and a pinpoint blue paint drop in the proper right rear leg; frame rubbing along the upper center edge; black stains throughout the canvas verso. Under UV light, abraded areas fluoresce but no apparent inpainting is visible.
